What the Hack Is
Send the builder a non-urgent, easy-to-answer email at a normal business hour. Note the response time. Repeat 2–3 times across a week. A builder who answers consistently within 24 hours during the courtship period will respond similarly mid-build. A builder who takes 4 days now will take 4 days when you’re trying to make a critical selection decision.
Why It Predicts Mid-Build Behavior
Communication patterns are largely structural. They reflect how the business is set up, how disciplined the builder is, and how seriously they take client relationships. Those structural patterns don’t change just because the contract is signed. Pre-signing behavior is the truth.
What Different Response Times Mean
